Mother and child: anyone facing these words
\ninevitably feels a subtle palpitation of the heart.
\nWe are all deeply aware of the inexpressible feelings
\nthat lie within these words,
\nthose moments of untrammeled emotion within our personal histories –
\nwe humans are led by these words back to our origins.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, beyond hinting at the basic relationships of human life,
\nWang Yin\u2019s paintings reveal no further story:
\nthey only portray human figures nestled into each other,
\ngiving uncanny shape to the most fundamental
\nand familiar of human feelings.<\/p>\n
Based on this premise of life relationship,
\nthe artist adopts the ethic of life as his principle for painting:
\nall essential elements of painting
\nare presented in a seemingly equal relation:
\nan inclusive acceptance of life\u2019s conflicting and contradictory values.
\nThe origin stories of the figures in these paintings remain untold,
\njust as the origins of our lives remain obscure to us.<\/p>\n
Encountering Wang Yin\u2019s paintings at such a moment,
\nis like undergoing a contemplation of one\u2019s life journey.
\nThe subtle and reserved content of these paintings
\ncomes from emotions that have been refined and distilled.
\nThey allow us to quietly explore the reciprocal concern
\nbetween the emotional experience of life
\nand the generation of images and forms.

\nstands quietly at the boundaries of our minds,
\nderiving no joy from external things,
